It’s difficult to rank the semifinalists on The Voice when you only know the identify of two-thirds of the Top 12.

That’s thanks to the super save, which will allow each coach to bring back one singer eliminated during the playoffs.

Thing is, fans won’t know which singers are returning until Monday’s 8 p.m. episode begins.

Those choices could radically change the look of the season finale, now just a little more than a week ago.

If Kelsea Ballerini brings back Jaelan Johnston, making him the only country singer in the competition, I predict he’ll make the finals, provided enough of the show’s country-loving fans tune back in in time to vote.

Olivia Kuper-Harris, Britton Moore and Conor James are also potential comeback contestants, all three quite capable of turning in a finals worthy performance.

The Voice hasn’t released details, but will likely have an overnight voting window Monday night into Tuesday, with results to be revealed on the first new Tuesday night episode of The Voice this season.

If the show follows what it’s done in the past, the top four vote-getters will automatically move on to the finals. The lowest will head home. Those in the middle will compete for an instant save at the end of Tuesday’s show.

In the meantime, here’s how I’m ranking the eight semifinalists we know about.

1. Renzo, 33, Philadelphia, Pa.: He’s got a unique look. He’s got charisma. He’s got stage presence. He’s got a great voice. And he arrived with singing show experience having made the Top 10 on American Idol seven years ago as Dennis Lorenzo. He looked like a sure-thing to win before the super silly Super Save.

2. Jadyn Cree, 23, Lincoln, Neb.: Unimpressed with her blind audition, I thought she might be riding dad Bryan Olesen’s coattails onto The Voice. Her last two performances have changed my mind. She could challenge Renzo. Somebody needs to or this is going to be the most boring finale in Voice history.

3. Lucia Flores-Wiseman, 22, of Maple Valley, Wash.: With her distinctive tone and singer-songwriter style, ucia has been the best on the show after Lorenzo. And that includes anyone who could be coming back thanks to the super silly Super Save. I’d just note that Voice fans haven’t been kind to female singer-songwriters unless they’re very young.

4. Iris Herrera, 19, of Newaygo, Mich.: Chalk me up as a big fan of her impassioned, raspy vocals. She’s also one of the best stories on the show in Season 27, returning after turning no chairs in Season 26 to turn three this time around and make it all the way to the lives.

5. Bryson Battle, 21, Harrisburg, N.C.: With a range that can hit the stratosphere, he might have the best voice on The Voice. But he performs with far more vocal acrobatics than I prefer. He and Renzo are the only four chair turns in the semis at this point.

6. Alana Lynise, 21, of Toledo, Ohio: Her best Voice performance was a truly special blind audition cover of “Issues.” But that aired two months ago, and Alanna was montaged in the knockouts when the show aired just 30 seconds of her performance.

7. Adam David, 34, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.: He’s the only one-chair turn to make the semi-finals. His shot at the finals probably ended with the super silly Super Save. Because my hunch is that he’ll no longer be the only male singer-songwriter type vying for a spot.

8. Kolby Cordell, 32, of Ontario, Calif.: His performances have been perfectly fine, but none of them have screamed ‘I belong in the finals.’ Originally a member of Team Legend, he’s the only stolen singer revealed as a semifinalist so far.
