Is Michelle Chamuel the toughest competition Danielle Bradbery faces as she seeks the Season 4 crown on The Voice?
Judging from the last two weeks, it would appear that way.
When voting ended at 10 a.m. today, the 26-year-old from Amherst, Mass., was sitting right behind Danielle on the iTunes singles chart for the second straight week.
Which means people loved her imaginative performance of “Grenade” just as much as they liked last week’s performance of Pink’s “Just Give Me a Reason.”
Of course, Danielle wound up on top of all The Voice performances again, and might have broken into the Top 10 again depending on when the official check of the iTunes ranking was made.
When I checked at 10 a.m. on the nose, her version of “Grandpa” was sitting at number 12. Just a few minutes later, it had climbed to number 10.

The big question tonight: Who goes home?
Could Judith Hill or Sasha Allen be at risk?
The iTunes chart says “yes.” Their performances from last night were the least popular.
Another contestant in potential trouble might be Holly Tucker. She was forced to perform early in the show — again — and I can’t see four country artists advancing to the Top 6.
Hmm, Shakira says if Sasha gets sent home tonight, it’s because her coach made a mistake with song selection, not because Sasha failed to execute.
And now we’re reminded of tomorrow night’s benefit concert for Oklahoma, organized by Blake Shelton and featuring performances by Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire and his fellow Voice coach Usher.
Starbucks is pitching in, too. Apparently, anyone who makes a donation to tornado relief tomorrow will get a free coffee.
Now, tonight’s first duet, “Sweet Nothing” by Judith Hill and Michelle Chamuel. Wow, listen to the glory notes. It’s going to be an incredible shame if Judith goes home tonight. I don’t think Michelle’s in a bit of danger.
Next duet: The Swon Brothers and Sasha Allen singing “Don’t You Want to Stay,” the song Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson took to number one on the country singles chart. Very nice. What I wrote about Judith? Ditto for Sasha. I don’t think the Swon Brothers are in danger either.
Sarah Simmons and Danielle Bradbery take on “A Thousand Years.” Very nice song choice. Very nice vocal when they’re singing solo. Not sure the harmonies were spot on, though.
And the last duet of the night, Amber Carrington and Holly Tucker on “Does He Love You?” Once again, we’re reminded of how talented this cast is. But of the duets tonight, I think I preferred The Swon Brothers and Sasha Allen the most.
Now, tonight’s first saves …
* Michelle Chamuel — Well, that was quick, and no surprise whatsoever.
* Danielle Bradbery — Clearly, The Voice is starting with the obvious tonight. Of course, that’s smart for building suspense, right?
* Sasha Allen — Nice surprise. Shakira absolutely leaped out of her judge’s chair with that news. And Sasha looked a bit surprised herself.
* The Swon Brothers … They’re growing on folks, as I thought they might if they hung around long enough to gain some momentum.
* Amber Carrington: … She looked a bit nervous too. For those counting, that’s three country artists in the Top 6.
* Holly Tucker: … And make that four. All three members of Team Blake advance.
Meanwhile, Team Adam loses Judith Hill, the early favorite on the show, and Sarah Simmons, a phenomenally talented singer.
I don’t even know how to explain what happened with Judith on Season 4. Clearly one of the most talented artists on the show, she just didn’t seem to connect with viewers.
And I place a lot of that blame on song choice.
Last night, for instance, I admired her performance. But if I had to choose which performances to hear back, it would have been among my least favorites.
