Which Super Bowl player was Idol worthy?

American Idol-like singing competitions are pretty typical these days.

But at the Super Bowl?

Apparently, “Entertainment Tonight” tried it at Tuesday’s media day.

Saint and Colt players were asked to grab a mic and belt out a song — Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” no less.
Season two Idol beauty Kimberly Caldwell — who will finally release her first album, “Without Regret,” on April 6 — judged the competition.

She proclaimed practice squad tight end Tyler Lorenzen as the top Saint singer; practice squad guard Jaimie Thomas as the best Colt crooner.

A win for the Colts.

A sign of things to come?

According to the Associated Press, about five Saints and four Colts participated in the challenge. Hey, I spotted Saint tight end Billy Miller.

As for the likes of Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Dallas Clark and Reggie Bush?

Apparently, they went no where near Kimberly’s mic.

But Peyton and Reggie weren’t bashful when it came to commenting about their teammates’ victories.

You can check it out in this ET video.
