On the path to 1 million downloads, Phillip Phillips has enjoyed some high-profile exposure for “Home,” the song he once proclaimed wasn’t his first single.
Most notably, of course, the tune was featured when the U.S Women’s gymnastics teams competed in the summer Olympics.
Well, another high-profile gig is coming Phillip’s way. He’s the featured guest on Live with Kelly on Tuesday (airs at 9 a.m. here).
And this isn’t just any old episode of Live with Kelly.
This is the episode where she unveils her new co-host.
Kelly Ripa has been without a steady co-host since Regis Philbin left the show in November. Since then, dozens of potential candidates for the job have filled in.
On Monday, ABC has announced that Kelly will host the show solo for the first time.
Then on Tuesday, we’ll meet her new co-host, guaranteeing a pretty large audience when Phillip performs “Home.”
The other guest that morning will be actress Claire Danes.
