While other departing contestants thanked The X Factor for the opportunity Tuesday night, long-legged and business savvy Simone Battle used her few seconds with the mike for a different purpose.
After all, she had a new video to plug. So that’s what she did.
The good news: The song — “He Likes Boys” — and the video are quite cute.
The better news: She sounds much, much, much better in the video than she did during her Tuesday night performance on The X Factor.
Really, after that vocal — easily one of the night’s worst — Simon Cowell had no option but to cut the 22-year-old beauty from L.A. Especially after the performances turned in by Melanie Amaro and Drew Ryniewicz.
But who knows? Based on the video, maybe Simone has a future in pop music.
She’s also been promoting the video via Twitter. And, apparently, she wrote the tune.
