Fans say new album from Haley Reinhart is beyond ‘Better’

Haley Reinhart's new album, BetterHaley Reinhart’s long-awaited sophomore album, “Better,” hit iTunes on Friday.

And, clearly, no one was more eager to get new music in the hands of fans than Haley, who had gone four years between albums.

On Facebook, she posted: “Folks, today’s the magical day; my sophomore album ‪#‎BETTER‬ is here to stay! To every supporter out there, thank you for your love & patience.

“And just like a rose, I hope this album will flourish and cut through the industry speakers like a sharp thorn.”

For an independent release, the album is doing well on the charts.

As of 8 p.m., it was sitting at number 30 on iTunes overall albums chart; five of the first 25 spots were occupied by the late Prince. And “Better” climbed as high as number five on the pop albums chart.

Fans are clearly impressed. Some of the comments from Facebook:

Sara Maurchie: “Been a huge fan of yours since Idol. You just keep growing and evolving into an amazing artist. While keeping your rasp and fierce empowering attitude. Such an inspiration Haley Reinhart. Diggin this new album! Expected something funky jazzy fun and inspirational. And that’s what you delivered.”

Dakota Jo McWhorter: “Such a fantastic album! Beyoncé who?”

Lee Rice: “This is way beyond BETTER! I love EVERY SINGLE SONG on this album. Congratulations! This is well worth the wait.”

Linda Mullinnix Smith: “That girl has some crazy pipes!!!! her vocal range is amazing.”

Tom Zobel: “Good choice for the album title … I always feel better when I hear Haley Reinhart sing.”

Haley had released the video for the single, “Better,” earlier this week. And she’ll be touring to support the album this summer, with stops planned in Philly and D.C.
