Phillip Phillips

Phillip Phillips in fine form at A Capitol Fourth

0

Looks like those fears about Phillip Phillips not being ready for the Idol summer tour were unfounded.

Phillip looked and sounded great performing in D.C. Wednesday night during the Capitol Fourth concert, televised on PBS.

If you missed his performance of “Home,” I’ve embedded it below.

The only glitch came when host Tom Bergeron introduced Phillip and his “hard-driving rock-and-roll.”

Not exactly the words I’d use to describe “Home.” But, hey, it is one of the best Idol coronation songs in years.

As for that summer tour, we’re just a day away. It kicks off Friday night in Detroit. For local dates, go here.
