In case you missed it. there’s new holiday music available from a former American Idol finalist.
And it comes from an unexpected source — Season 7 contestant Ramiele Malubay.
In fact, this is the first substantial post-Idol music release from Ramiele, who placed ninth on one of Idol’s best seasons ever.
Now 27, Ramiele released “This Time of Year” last week. The EP features six tracks, including “O Holy Night” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
The highlight is a duet of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” with Russy Isberto.
Writes Ramiele on Facebook: “I’ve always wanted to work on a Christmas album, and the feedback has been so warm and loving. I’m so very thankful.”
Ramiele isn’t the first Season 7 contestant to grace us with Christmas music.
Brooke White released a full-length holiday album called “White Christmas” in 2012 (now on sale on iTunes for just $7.99) and David Archuleta released the excellent 13-track “Christmas from the Heart” in 2009.
