Karli Webster and Addison Agen will square off in a Team Miley Cyrus battle round match this week on The Voice.
We’ll say farewell to the same number this week as the battles conclude.
Here are six things to look for during week two of the battle round.
1. Six singers turned four chairs during the blind auditions in Season 13. We’ve already seen five — Keisha Renee, Chris Weaver, Davon Fleming, Moriah Formica and Brooke Simpson — advance. Jon Mero of Team Adam returns to the stage this week in a battle with Brandon Brown.
2. Four steals remain, so there still room for plenty of drama in these battles. Each coach still has one after Adam Levine picked up Dennis Drummond, Blake Shelton stole Katrhina Feigh, Miley Cryus swiped Whitney Fenimore and Jennifer Hudson nabbed Noah Mac last week. My hunch: Of the four, Noah Mac goes the deepest in this competition.
3. I’m hoping one of those steals goes to the singer who comes out on the short end of the Team Miley Cyrus showdown between Karli Webster and Addison Agen. Karli delivered that wonderful cover of “You’re So Vain” in the blinds; Addison is a mega-talented young singer-songwriter who was just 16 when she auditioned and has already released an excellent album. Shame on Miley for pitting them against one another. They’ll perform a slowed-down version of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” that I’m predicting will be an iTunes hit.
4. Week two of the battles will feature both contestants who come from The Voice’s little publicized Snapchat challenge — Season 12 Snapchat champ Ignatious Carmouche — gotta love that name — and Season 11 Snapchat runner-up Shi’Ann (pronounced Cheyenne) Jones, the youngest singer in the competition.
5. It’s well documented: The Voice fans love country singers. This should be their week, with Team Miley’s Ashland Craft and Megan Rose and Team Blake’s Natalie Stovall, Red Marlow, Ryan Scripps, Kristi Hoopes and Anna Catherine DeHart all set to do battle.
6. All six of the singers montaged in the blind auditions — Natalie, Ryan, Anna Catherine, Alexandra Joyce, Eric Lynn and Katrina Rose — are due to battle this week, almost ensuring someone will get the double montage treatment. Let me get this out of the way now: Voice producers, that’s incredibly unfair considering the time investment contestants make in the show.
The week two matchups (links take you to a profile on each singer) —
Team Adam
Matchup: Brandon Brown vs. Jon Mero
Background: Jon turned four chairs with Bruno Mars’ “Versace on the Floor.” It then became one of just four blind audition covers to crack the Top 200 on iTunes. Brandon did pretty darn well himself, prompting three chair turns with a cover of “Georgia on My Mind.”
Song: “I Wish it Would Rain” by the Temptations
Matchup: Anthony Alexander vs. Michael Kight
Backgrond: His dad used to be a cameraman for The Voice, and now Anthony is a contestant after turning three chairs singing “Redbone” in the blinds. Michael, who has played guitar for Season 4 standouts Amber Carrington and Caroline Glaser, won Adam over in the blinds with Maroon 5’s “Sugar.”
Song: “I Feel it Coming” by The Weeknd
Matchup: Emily Luther vs. Gary Carpentier *
Background: Gary nabbed the very last spot on the show with his cover of Michael Buble’s “Home.” He gets a tough draw, being paired up with former Charlie Puth duet partner Emily Luther (something The Voice has curiously failed to mention). She turned three chairs with her blind audition cover of “Summertime.”
Song: “Send My Love” by Adele

Team Blake Shelton’s country artists will step into the limelight this week, including Anna Catherine DeHart and Kristi Hoopes.
Matchup: Kristi Hoopes vs. Anna Catherine DeHart
Background: Blake matches up two of his female country singers. Anna Catherine was montaged in the blinds when she sang “I Could Use a Love Song.” Krist Hoopes calls herself the hippi chick with a twang and got three chairs to turn singing “Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love.”
Song: “Independence Day” by Martina McBride
Matchup: Adam Cunningham vs. Natalie Stovall
Background: A former Christian artist, Adam turned two chairs in the blinds with “Midnight Rider” by the Allman Brothers. Natalie has some of the best pre-show music you’re going to find, but was montaged during the blinds. She earned a spot on Team Blake, singing “If It Hadn’t Been for Love.”
Matchup: Red Marlow vs. Ryan Scripps
Background: As he has a habit of doing, Blake pairs up two country singers. Red turned two chairs in the blinds with “Swingin'” by John Anderson. Ryan sang “Body Like a Dirt Road” in a montaged performance. Blake was the only coach to turn.
Song: “Fishin’ in the Dark” by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Team Miley
Matchup: Ashland Craft vs. Megan Rose **
Background: Megan is the country singer trapped in San Fran; she turned both available chairs in her blind audition with “Ode to Billie Joe.” Ashland, from Piedmont, S.C., turned three chairs with “You Are My Sunshine;” it turned out to be the biggest hit of the blinds on iTunes.
Matchup: Addison Agen vs. Karli Webster
Background: Karli turned three chairs with her performance of “You’re So Vain.” Her cover then became just one of four in the blinds to crack the Top 200 on iTunes. Addison, one of the teens to watch in Season 13, sang Ray LaMontagne’s “Jolene” and turned two chairs.
Song: “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper
Matchup: Janice Freeman vs. Katrina Rose
Background: Kickboxer / singer Katrina coveed “Kozmic Blues” in a montaged performance and prompted a turn from Jennifer. Janice was one of the standouts on the season premiere when she turned two chairs singing “Radioactive.”
Song: “Woman” by Etta James
Matchup: Alexandra Joyce vs. Jeremiah Miller ***
Background: The former wrestler, Jeremiah got Jennifer to turn for his performance of “Slow Hands.” Alexandra turned three chairs with Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” and The Voice still decided to montage the performance. All together now: Boo! The Voice.
Song: “One Call Away” by Charlie Puth
Matchup: Ignatious Carmouche vs. Eric Lyn
Background: Eric, montaged in the blinds, sang “Ooh Child.” Only Jennifer turned. Ignatious showed off great range covering “Latch” in the blinds and got two chairs to turn. He’s The Voice Season 12 snapchat champ.
Matchup: Shi’Ann Jones vs. Stephan Marcellus
Background: Stephan is the singer who muffed the opening of his blind audition performance of “Take Me to Church,” but still got Jennifer to turn. He’ll square off against Shi’Ann Jones, the youngest singer in the competition. She turned two chairs with “Drown in My Own Tears.”
Song: Oh Darlin’ by the Beatles

I have a feeling that there will be at least one triple montage victim this season.
Sigh.
