American Idol concludes its Season 12 auditions tonight when it returns to Okalahoma City. Could the show find another Carrie Underwood?
Shubha Vedula beat half the American Idol judges to the audition room in Long Beach. Nicki Minaj was off rehearsing for the American Music Awards and Mariah Carey was stuck in traffic when Shubha walked in, clearly surprised to find the judges’ table half empty.
Rachel Hale showed up on the American Idol audition stage saying she follows southern tradition by going by her middle and last name. And addressing the judges with what she called “the biggest accent you’ll ever find.”
