Hannah Anderson auditioned for American Idol as part of a deal.
Her brother is in Afghanistan with the U.S. military. He made her agree to try out for American Idol.
So there she was in Galveston, earning a golden ticket to Hollywood.
OK, she admits, it wasn’t a very fair deal.
Hannah says she’s different from lots of female singers in the way she dresses and in the way she sounds.
She says she has a soft, soulful voice, “a new sound I think people will like.”
She first sang for people she didn’t know when she performed as her sister’s 15th birthday party when she was 9.
Hannah says her favorite Idol contestants are Jason Castro and Casey Abrams.
