Liv Ciara is among the artists who auditioned for Season 29 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Feb. 23 with the coaching trio of John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine.

Here’s more about Liv:

* She describes herself as a singer-songwriter and pianist on Instagram adding, “if you get a second chance, take it.”

* That’s especially appropriate for Liv. That’s because she auditioned for Season 28 of The Voice, failed to turn a chair and turned right around to audition for the very next season.

* In Season 28, the 16-year-old from St. Peters, Missouri, sang Sabrina Carpenter’s “Expresso.” Reba McEntire complimented her on a “gorgeous voice” and suggested she return to the show and sing a different song.

* Liv took the lack of a chair turn in stride. “I never thought I would get to be a part of such a talented group of people … let alone at 16,” she told Mid Rivers News Magazine. “Every time I watch back my audition, I still cannot believe it.”

* Liv told the site she started taking piano lessons at age 7 and has taught herself to play guitar.

* She credits her dad, Justin Stewart, for introducing her to music and exposing her to different genres of music.

* He’s lead singer for a tribute band called Groovethang that covers hit songs from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

* When Liv was 13, her dad invited her to start singing with the band. “Have the opportunity to do what I love with my role model is so amazing,” Liv told The Voice during her bio segment that aired last fall.

* Still 16, Liv is a junior at St. Dominic High School. And judging from a clip The Voice has leaked, it appears her second chance on the show led to multiple chair turns.

* Meanwhile, Liv just released a fine four-song debut EP called, “Out Loud.” The EP includes her debut single “Behind the Door.” She describes it as a song “about feeling lost and not knowing what’s next for you in life.” Check out the lyric video below. My favorite track from the EP is an excellent song called “The Beginning.” You can check it out below too.
