Adam Wakefield, runner-up on The Voice Season 10, released two new songs on Friday.

Adam Wakefield dropped two new songs Friday and is planning a new album.

The new songs are “Cheap Whiskey and Bad Cocaine” and “Dry Days.”

The album? It’s likely to be out before the end of the year, according to a press release from Adam’s label, Average Joes Entertainment.

It’ll be a followup to Adam’s self-titled 2017 EP; that marked his first major release since placing second on Season 10 of The Voice.

On Twitter, Adam says “Cheap Whiskey and Bad Cocaine” was “actually the first original country song I put together with a band in Nashville after coming off The Voice.

“Been playin’ it out on the road, and it’s good to have it out for everyone now,” he added.

The less serious and very fun “Dry Days” is about “that time in your life when you’re broke as sh-t, but too old to ask your parents for help,” Adam told onecountry.com.

Adam wrote both tunes, which you can check out below.

The Nashville-based country-soul artist also has several shows scheduled for the rest of the summer. You can check those out on his Facebook page or website.

One is an Aug. 18 show with fellow Season 10 contestant Nick Hagelin in Decatur, Ga. They recently teamed up on a new release called “Hourglass.”

Here are “Dry Days” and “Cheap Whiskey and Bad Cocaine.”
