Blake Shelton wins big at CMA Awards (photo gallery)

Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson were going head to head for honors as Female Artist of the Year at the 46th annual CMA Awards Thursday night.

But the honor went to Miranda Lambert, wife of Blake Shelton, judge/mentor on The Voice.

In fact, it was quite a night for Miranda and Blake. They also took honors for song of the year for “Over You,” a tribute to lost loved ones.

And Blake was named Male Artist of the Year.

Then came the top award of the night — Entertainer of the Year. Surely to go to Taylor Swift. Right?

Nope, Blake Shelton found himself at the winner’s podium again, taking the honor for the first time in his career.

The show also featured a number of performances, including Kelly and Vince Gill singing “Don’t Rush,” a duet featured on her upcoming Greatest Hits album.

Here are photos from the show, courtesy of The Associated Press. Check back in the a.m. I’ll be adding more.
