Leah LaBelle was just 17 when she made the finals on Season 3 of American Idol.

She squeaked into the finals thanks to a wild card bid courtesy of Paula Abdul.

A week later, she was gone, finishing 12th the year Fantasia took the Idol crown and Diana DeGarmo finished second.

Now, eight years later, Leah has released her first single to iTunes.

The song is called “Sexify,” and though it just went on sale on iTunes Tuesday, it’s been around for awhile now.

In fact, the music video was released to MTV last month; you can check it out below.

There will be more to come. Leah is working on an album with L.A. Reid (yep, he of the X Factor), Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri.

In fact, watch closely and you’ll spot Pharrell and Jermaine in the video (hint, pizza delivery guy and landlord, respectively).

You can check out four more of Leah’s new songs here.

No announced release date yet for the album.
