The awards show begins at 8 p.m. on CMT and Carrie — already the all-time leader with 17 CMT awards — is nominated for four more honors this year.
The prize of the night is the award for Video of the Year. Right now, three are 10 nominees, including Carrie (for “The Champion”), Blake (for “I’ll Name the Dogs) and Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina (for “What Ifs”).
At the opening of Wednesday’s show, those 10 nominees will be whittled to five and fans will have 15 minutes to vote for their favorite on Twitter to help decide who goes home with the night’s biggest honor.
