Gaby Borromeo of The Voice Season 12 released her post-show debut single Monday.

You might remember her as the singer with the purple hair.

You might remember her as the singer whose audition prompted Adam Levine to storm the stage and offer up a hug to ensure she landed on his team.

Gaby Borromeo released her post-Voice debut single on Monday, a song she co-wrote with inspiration that dates back well before her time on The Voice.

The song is called “Nothing to Lose,” and she told Nylon.com it stems from her decision to move to New York at age 15 to pursue a career in entertainment.

The result: the Seattle-area native says she saw a lot at a young age and lost her innocence earlier than she probably would have if she hadn’t made the move.

“This song is about missing that part of you that you were never truly meant to keep, but it doesn’t mean you won’t stop searching for your true self. You have nothing to lose if the one you’ve lost is yourself,” she told the site.

Gaby was 22 when auditioned for Season 12 with “Happy” by Leona Lewis. She turned two chairs and opted to join Team Adam, but was eliminated in a battle round match with eventual Top 12 contestant Mark Isaiah.

Pre-Voice, Gaby released a dance single called “Not That Chick” in 2012 and placed a song called “Not As Advertised” on the soundtrack for the webisode comedy series “Farmed and Dangerous” in 2016.

Neither can match the ethereal sound of the new single.

You can keep up with Gaby through her Facebook page and website. On Twitter, she’s @gabyborromeo.

Now, here’s the new song.
