In each case, the Grammy went to someone else.
But former X Factor contestant Camila Cabello still supplied one of the night’s most touching moments, singing “First Man,” a tribute to her father.
Former Idol contestant Danny Gokey, now a Christian artist, was up for two awards. In both case, the honor went to King and Country.
Danny took to Twitter to congratulate the group.
“I didn’t win a Grammy tonight but I’m still so thankful to Christian radio and all those who have supported my music. Quite honestly, maybe ‘I just haven’t seen it yet,’ Danny wrote in a play on the title of his Grammy-nominated album.
“I believe my best songs are still yet to come,” he added. “Congrats to @4kingandcountry for their 2 wins.”
Also up for Grammy Awards were Voice coaches Blake Shelton and John Legend and former Voice finalist Koryn Hawthorne, now a gospel artist.
Here’s a look at the categories in which singing show stars were nominated. The winner of each award is in bold.
