Okay, so maybe we won’t have to wait so long for a Brooke White post-Idol debut album after all.
Brooke announced in her MySpace blog Saturday that the yet-to-be completed album has a title — “High Hopes and Heartbreak.”
She announced that she has signed with Sanctuary Artist Management and is finalizing a record deal.
And she announced that she hopes to release the record on June 2, which also happens to be her birthday.
As for writing the music, she’s apparently getting some help. She talks about the co-writing experience in her blog, which you can read in its entirety here.
Best of luck, Brooke. We can’t wait.
Another Idol update: Former Idols sometime show up in the strangest places.
Bucky Covington announced a couple days ago that he’ll be making his big screen debut in … are you ready? … “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” which is set for an April 10 release. Bucky is also in the studio working on a followup to his surprisingly successful debut album … the surprising successful part being my words, not his.
Remember, Bucky finished eighth on season five of Idol. But his first album produced three top 20 country singles — “I’ll Walk,” “It’s Good to Be Us,” and “A Difficult World” — all of which you can hear on his MySpace page.
