Wondering what happens next on American Idol?
Here’s the answer.
The show will be back for another round of Sunday and Monday night episodes next week as the field is cut from a Top 14 to a Top 10.
Sunday night, each member of the Top 14 will perform. Fans can vote for their favorites beginning at the start of the show through 9 a.m. Monday morning.
Voting is via text, online at AmericanIdol.com and via the American Idol app. You can vote 10 times per contestant per method.
On Monday, each contestant will be called to the stage and told their fate. The seven contestants who are the highest vote-getters automatically advance, but will perform just the same.
The seven who don’t advance will perform with the hopes of convincing the judges they’re worthy of a save.
Then, at the end of the show, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan will reveal their three saves, completing the Top 10 that will advance to the April 21 show.
Now that the voting rounds are here, I’ll be blogging with song by song grades. And I’ll be posting my rankings of the Top 14 soon.
Guys in the Top 14: Alejandro Aranda, Dimitrius Graham, Eddie Island, Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon, Laine Hardy, Uche, Wade Cota, Walker Burroughs
Gals in the Top 14: Alyssa Raghu, Ashley Hess, Evelyn Cormier, Laci Kaye Booth, Madison VanDenburg, Riley Thompson

If only you were as critical and realistic about “Idol” as you are about “The Voice.”
The two are not mutually exclusive,
