Jack Blocker almost didn’t make it to Hollywood Week on American Idol.

Sunday night, he’ll be competing against Abi Carter and Will Moseley for the American Idol Season 22 crown.

He can thank Luke Bryan for that. And Lionel Richie.

And, of course, his own talent.

Luke lobbied for Jack to get a second chance after his fellow judges voted against advancing him to Hollywood in the auditions.

Lionel changed his vote after the Idol crew expressed its opinion, proclaiming Jack Hollywood worthy.

But since then, it’s been Jack who’s been reeling off one impressive performance after another, earning enough support from fans to advance to tonight’s finals.

Idol’s three-hour season finale begins tonight at 8 p.m. and I’ll be live blogging with song by song grades.

Here’s a look back at Jack Blocker’s Idol performances to this point.
