At age 12, Spensha Baker made it to the finals of CBS’s Star Search and signed a record deal.

She wound up becoming a child star in gospel music.

But her star eventually faded. And when attempts to revive her career in Nashville seemed to be “going in circles and never really getting anywhere,” she stopped singing and took a 9-to-5 job in real estate.

That’s before she decided to audition for Season 14 on something of a whim. She wound up singing “Blackbird” for the show’s superstar judges and turning the chairs of Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson.

Well, Spensha says she always loved country music and wanted to re-invent herself as a soulful country artist. So she joined Team Blake.

Now she’ll be competing in the Voice Season 14 finals alongside Britton Buchanan, Brynn Cartelli and Team Blake teammate Kyla Jade.

Here’s a look back at Spensha’s performances on The Voice.
