Aaron Gibson is living a charmed life on The Voice.

Tuesday night, he was on the brink of elimination for the third straight time.

And for the third straight week, fans rescued him with the Twitter save.

That makes Aaron the first contestant in the show’s history to be saved via Twitter three straight weeks.

And his save meant a double dose of bad news for Team Blake, which lost Courtney Harrell and Austin Allsup in the same night.

Austin, just a week removed from a brilliant performance of “Turn the Page,” was actually leading the Twitter save vote by a narrow margin when the show cut to a commercial break Tuesday.

But the time Carson Daly and company returned, Aaron had slipped into the lead, one he maintained.

That means the lineup is set for next Monday’s Top 8 show. Four of those eight will be eliminated Tuesday night. The other four will advance to the Season 11 finals.

Here’s who’s advancing:

Team Adam: Billy Gilman, Brendan Fletcher, Josh Gallagher

Team Alicia: We McDonald, Christian Cuevas

Team Blake: Sundance Head

Team Miley: Ali Caldwell, Aaron Gibson

Now, here are the save me performances as well as my grade for each one.

Austin Allsup (Team Blake), “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton — Chalk it up as another of those Voice mysteries. With this song — so perfectly suited for his voice — in his back pocket, what the hell was Austin doing singing “Missing You” on Monday’s performance show? Would Tuesday’s results have been difficult is Austin had performed “Tennessee Whiskey” Monday night? Because even though he’s been sick all week, he sounded quite good on the Chris Stapleton hit. Grade: B+

Courtney Harrell (Team Blake), “God Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts — And I’ve been baffled by just about every song Courtney has wound up performing since she tore up the stage with “Mountain High, River Deep.” In other words, another offbeat song choice for her came as no surprise. She delivered some big notes, but this song was not in her wheelhouse. Grade: C

Aaron Gibson (Team Miley), “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” by Bob Dylan — And I’m not sure how winding up as one of the lowest vote-getters three straight weeks earns you the final performance spot or the instant save, but that’s how The Voice decided to play it. Aaron delivered an okay vocal, but if you were looking for dynamics in a save-me performance, or something so emotional it would cause those tears in Miley’s eyes … well, it wasn’t there. Grade: C+
