Abi Carter in her new ‘Peppermint Sky’ music video

American Idol champ Abi Carter has released a music video to accompany her great new single, “Peppermint Sky.”

And fans are responding.

The music video has been viewed more than 32,000 time since dropping late last week.

On Spotify, “Peppermint Sky” has racked up more than 107,000 streams since its July 26 release.

The single is Abi’s first since Idol, a song over which she says she had total artistic control.

Abi wrote the song with Holden Miller and Michael Edwards.

“When I wrote Peppermint Sky, it quickly became about all of the girls in my life who have shaped me and made me who I am today,” Abi wrote on Instagram alongside video snippets featuring several of thoe female friends.

We’re still awaiting promised news regarding tour dates for Abi.

She played her first headline show since Idol last month in front of a crowd of about 8,500 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, Calif.
