Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young began dating while performing together in “Hair” back in 2009.

Now American Idol’s couple are going to be back on stage together.

Earlier this week, Ace and Diana announced on Good Day LA that they’ll be starring in a new touring production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

Ace will play the role of Joseph; Diana will play the role of the narrator.

So far, nine tour stops have been announced beginning in Cleveland on March 4 and ending in San Diego next June.

The closest to central Pennsylvania isn’t very close — Durham, N.C. — next May, but more dates are expected to be announced.

Diana was runner-up to Fantasia on Season 3 of Idol; Ace finished seventh in Season 5.

Idol fans are more likely to remember Ace’s on-stage proposal to Diana during the Season 11 Idol finale; they tied the knot in June.

As for the upcoming production, Diana said it’s like coming full circle for her.

In every city, Ace said, the production will include a choir of local children, some of whom might never have been on stage before.

Twice when similar tours came through Atlanta when she was growing up, Diana said she performed in the children’s choir.
