Adam Lambert tells Ellen: Maybe I went a little too far

Adam Lambert performs on the David Letterman show last week. (AP Photo)Adam Lambert still isn’t apologizing for his performance at the American Music Awards.

But during the taping of the Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday, Adam admitted “it was maybe a little too far.”

“I forgot this was the first time people were seeing me on TV again after Idol,” he said during the interview. “I didn’t really think as objectively (about that) as I might have wanted to.

“Maybe that wasn’t the best first impression to make.”

Adam appears on today’s episode of Ellen (4 p.m. WHP, Channel 21). But if you can’t watch the show, a five-and-a-half-minute clip is already on the show’s Web site.

So is the video of Adam performing “Whataya Want From Me,” the song Pink co-wrote for his debut album. You can go here to watch both.

On Thursday, we find out how “For Your Entertainment” sold in week one. Not as well as Susan Boyle’s new album, from all reports. But apparently much better than the first-week sales for Idol winner Kris Allen.
