Adam Lambert is heading out on tour with Allison Iraheta and Oriannthi and the first stop is in Pennsylvania.American Idol sensation Adam Lambert has announced “The Glam Nation Tour,” and the very first stop is in Pennsylvania.

Adam, runner-up on season eight of American Idol, will perform at the FM Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre on June 4.

Better news yet for Idol fans, his opening acts include Allison Iraheta, who finished fourth on Idol last season and did that wonderful rendition of “Slow Ride” with Adam on duet night.

Oh, and the tour will also feature Orianthi, the former Michael Jackson guitarist who performed on an Idol results show earlier this season and has a hit single, “According to You.”

The tour has about 20 dates announced so far between the June 4 gig in Wilkes-Barre and a Sept. 18 show in St. Petersburg, Fla. Adam and crew will return to Pennsylvania to perform at Musikfest in Bethlehem on Aug. 13.

Here’s what Adam had to say about the tour in a press release this morning: “I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours and fall into a world full of glam, drama and excitement. And I would love everyone to come away with a new appreciation for the music on my album.”

And here’s what he had to say about Allison’s participation on the tour: “I am such a fan of Allison’s music and I am so excited for her to perform it live in front of an audience. We have such a great brother and sister energy, having shared the stage both on American Idol and on the tour this summer. She is pure rock and roll.”

Allison will only be performing on select tour dates, according to the press release. But she’ll be with Adam for the Wilkes-Barre show, according to the Kirby Center Web site.

Tickets are $39.50 plus fees and go on sale on Wednesday to Kirby Center members and on Friday at 10 a.m. to the general public.
