Alejandro, Laine, Madison nab spots in American Idol finale

And so the stage is set for the Season 17 American Idol finale.

Next Sunday’s three-hour showdown will include …

* Madison VanDenburg, the 17-year-old the Idol judges have compared to Kelly Clarkson;

* Laine Hardy, the Louisiana guy the judges convinced to try Idol a second time after he finished Top 40 a year ago;

* and Alejando Aranda, whose blind audition was hyped as the show’s best ever.

They were voted through by fans Sunday night from a Top 5 that also included Laci Kaye Booth and Wade Cota.
