After The Voice

Alexa Cappelli’s back with a kind breakup song

0

Alexa Cappelli has done it again.

Coming off a string of superb pop releases during 2022, her first single of 2023 is a touching — and incredibly catchy — breakup song called “Someone Better.”

Alexa says she wrote the song in September 2021 with Stefan PVDS. “We both held back tears as we finished the chorus,” she writes on Instagram. “It was special to articulate this unique feeling about love & letting go in a way that honors the other (person).”

She elaborates on the message behind the song in a separate social media post.

“Does anyone feel like it’s a lot easier to get over someone when they have a long list of red flags?” she askes. “The question is, what do you do when they’re actually amazing, just not for you?”

Releasing music under Arista Records, Alexa is up to seven singles with more than 2 million streams on Spotify.

She competed on Season 14 of The Voice, and if you haven’t been keeping up with her post-Voice music, do yourself a favor and catch up.
