If you’re looking at social media numbers for a clear picture of who holds the edge heading into the final two weeks of American Idol Season 13 …

Well, let’s just say the picture isn’t very clear.

The contestant with the most Facebook fans is also the contestant with the fewest Twitter followers.

And the contestant with the most Twitter followers has picked up the fewest Facebook fans among the Top 3 since the finals began.

If one thing is clear from the social media numbers, it’s that front-runners Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene shouldn’t be considered sure things heading into Wednesday night’s Top 3 showdown.

Here are where the Top 3 stood in terms of Facebook fans and Twitter followers as of 9:30 p.m. Sunday night.

In each case, the number in parenthesis is the number of fans or followers they had when the Top 13 were revealed in late February.

Twitter:

1. Alex Preston: 63,300 (15,700)
2. Jena Irene (Asciutto): 43,900 (4,494)
3. Caleb Johnson: 31,600 (1,402)

Facebook:

1. Caleb Johnson: 49,754 (2,910)
2. Jena Irene (Asciutto): 37,518 (436)
3. Alex Preston: 36,634 (3,213)
