OK, I have my 3-D glasses, my list of nominees in 107 categories — yes, 107 — and I’m all set for blogging during the 52nd annual Grammys.

Hey, Idol fans, if you’re watching E!, you’ve already heard the news. Larry “Pants on the Ground” Platt will be performing at some point during the two-hour red carpet pre-show.

For the stars, the fun started last night at a Pre-Grammy Gala hosted by the Recording Academy and Clive Davis.

Check out Rhianna at right, who of course missed out on last year’s Grammy Awards because of that little altercation with Chris Brown.

And now we’re treated to the aforementioned performance of “Pants on the Ground,” which is not nominated by a Grammy. Larry showed up with belts for whoever needs them.

Meanwhile, where are the Idols, Ryan? Last year, you did pre-Grammy interviews with Fantasia, Carrie Underwood and others.

Once we finally got to the Idol interviews, here’s what we found out …

* Carrie hasn’t sent a wedding date, and didn’t make her date accompany her on the red carpet because she’s not sure he’s ready for that. Better get ready, Mr. Hockey Star. Carrie spends a lot of time there.

* Jennifer Hudson has been working out and looks great.

* Kara DioGuardi and Ryan promised us the most emotional finish to a Hollywood round we’ve ever seen on season nine of American Idol.

Sorry, foks, that’s as deep as it got on the red carpet. But there were lots of sights.

I mean, wow, did you just see Lady Gaga’s outfit? Outrageous. Of course, would we expect anything less.
