Blake Shelton presented another battle round country showdown when he pitted Hannah Kay against Andrew Sevener.

Andrew, 22, of Alvarado, Texas, turned just Blake’s chair in the blinds, auditioning with “Honky Tonk Women.”

Hannah, 18, of Magnolia, Texas, turned two, auditioning with Loretta Lynn’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”

Both have released music, including an EP just last year from Andrew and a 2017 debut EP from Hannah.

The song: “Tequila” by Dan + Shay
The feedback Blake Shelton said he purposely pushed Andrew and Hannah out of their comfort zone on this song. And that’s about all we heard in terms of a critique because The Voice cut this battle round.
The outcome: Blake awarded the win to Andrew. Hannah was eliminated when no one stole her.
My take Andrew showed nice control on a pretty difficult song and sounded solid throughout. But, gotta say, I would have gone with Hannah. Liked the stage presense, the star look, but most of all the passion in those honey-smooth vocals. Of course, she had the advantage of not being tied down to a guitar. But I thought she turned in one heck of a vocal, worthy of a save or a Comeback Stage berth if not the win.
