Anita Antoinette leading way for The Voice on iTunes

0

Anita AntoinetteOne song from Monday’s episode of blind auditions on The Voice had cracked the iTunes Top 200 as of 9:30 a.m. this morning.

That song: “Turn Your Lights Down Low” from returning contestant Anita Antoinette.

Anita failed to turn a single chair when she auditioned back in Season 3. If you missed last night’s show — well, let’s just say the outcome was a whole lot different for the newest member of Team Gwen.

Anita’s version of the Bob Marley hit was also number one on the iTunes reggae chart this morning.

While Anita was the only new contestant to crack the iTunes overall singles chart, one of last week’s contestants is still hanging around.

Taylor Phelan of Team Pharrell was sitting at number 159 this morning with his cover of “Sweater Weather.” Pretty darn impressive.

Here’s where last night’s songs landed on the genre charts. Keep in mind, the pop chart is the most competitive. Jessie Pitts is tops among new Voice contestants on it at number 87.

And it’s no surprise that Alessandra Castronovo, Jordy Searcy and Kensington Moore haven’t charted since their blind audition performances weren’t shown Monday night.

The genre chart rankings as of 8 a.m. …

Alessandra Castronovo, “When Love Takes Over,” Pop — Did not chart
Anita Antoinette, “Turn Your Lights Down Low,” Reggae — 1
Blessing Offor, ” Just the Two of Us,” R&B/Soul — 87
Bree Fondacaro, “It Ain’t Me, Babe,” Rock — 124
Jessie Pitts, “The Story,” Pop — 87
John Martin, “Sweat Pea,” Alternative — 105
Jordy Searcy, “Skinny Love,” Alternative — Did not chart
Kelli Douglas, “Danny’s Song,” Pop — 136
Kensington Moore, “Love Runs Out,” Pop — Did not chart
Mia Pfirrman, “Unconditionally,” Pop — Did not chart
Ricky Manning, “Love Me Again,” Pop — Did not chart
Troy Ritchie, “Out of My League,” Alternative — 63
