You might wonder about the title of Avery Wilson’s new EP.

The four-song collection is called “8:34.” But that isn’t the name of any of the tracks on the smooth and seductive R&B project.

On Facebook, the former Voice standout explains that 8:34 is the precise time of his birth.

And he describes the EP as “me walking into this new chapter of everyday life, love and commitments, unafraid and unapologetic. Letting go of old baggage and living in the now. A rebirth, if you will.”

Now 23, Avery was just 16 when he auditioned for Season 3 of The Voice. Though eliminated in the knockout round, he was signed by music mogul Clive Davis and RCA Records.

But he released just two singles with RCA. “8:34” follows Avery’s 2018 EP “FYI,” which was also released independently.

Here’s the music video for “Callin’,” the lead single from “8:34.”
