Former Voice contestant Ayanna Jahneé recently released her second EP since the show.

And the 24-year-old vows that her “Gemini” EP includes a song — “Printer’s Alley” — that will become an anthem in her hometown of Nashville.

“I was in a really dark place when I wrote this song, but I found my balance again after writing Printers Alley,” she told Voice Views.

“The night I wrote this song, I was downtown, mentally drained, and wandered into Bourbon Street Blues located in the historic Printer’s Alley.

“That night my city had opened my eyes and heart to who I’m predestined to be. This song tells a story of new beginnings, self-love, and gives you all the energy of Nashville.”

Self-love is a theme repeated often during Ayanna’s new five-song collection. She wrote all the songs herself, and said the EP cover — featuring an angel and devil riding on her shoulder — is a play on her zodiac sign.

The very last contestant picked for Season 10 of The Voice, Ayanna made it to the knockouts before being eliminated. She released her debut EP, “Unfinished Business,” last year.

And she has good reason to be happy with her progress as an artist in Nashville.

She celebrated her first residency July 4 at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse on Broadway. She’s decided to focus full-time on her music.

And she’s nominated for a Nashville Industry Music Award as Best R&B/Soul Performer. Voting is underway for those awards now.
