I thought it seemed rather odd when Adam Levine started singing Blake Shelton’s “Honeybee” on The Voice earlier this week.

Now it’s clear why he had the song on his mind.

As a Halloween treat, The Voice posted a video of its coaches — donned in Batman attire — singing “Honeybee” at the crack of Catwoman’s whip.

Blake Shelton plays Batman, Adam Levine is his faithful sidekick Robin, Jennifer Hudson takes on the role of Catwoman and Kelly Clarkson plays The Penguin, breaking down in laughter so hard at one point that she has to stop singing.

While posted on Halloween, the performance was filmed in Hollywood last summer during the taping of the battle and knockout rounds.

Remember, everything we’ve seen so far on the show was pre-taped. That will change Nov. 12 when the live playoffs begin.
