* Brother Bird from Season 4 released “Stay Down” on Friday and followed up with a mostly yellow music video on Saturday. Brother Bird, you ask? Well, she was Caroline Glaser on The Voice and is now Caroline Swon because she’s since married Colton Swon of the Swon Brothers. The important news is that “Stay Down” is the first song off an upcoming album. Caroline says the music video, shot and edited by Chris Bauer, was accomplished in two days with 12 cans of yellow spray paint “and absolutely no plan. Lyrically, this song touches on a lot of bitter memories I have with the music industry and all that comes along with pursuing art (or literally anything). I hope you enjoy this imaginary/ monotonous yellow world we created where I build stuff up and knock them down (very therapeutic).”

* Tim Atlas from Season 9 released “Wallflower” on Friday, calling it a “three-minute dance break from the world.” Tim wrote and produced the track. It’s Tim’s second solo single of the year and also his second since signing with Nettwerk Records. Tim is currently working on his third post-Voice EP, according to TheWildHoneyPie.com.

* Kendra Checketts from Season 16 recently released her new song “Without You” and tells fans on Instagram that she’s “working on something really cool” without disclosing what it is. “Without You” is a plaintive ballad about missing someone special. It marks the just-turned 21-year-old’s fourth single since the show and follows “Dear Jay” as her second of 2020.
