The teens did it.
Caroline Pennell, 17, and Jacquie Lee, 16, entered this week as the youngest knockout round winners on The Voice.
Two days later, they were the top two performers on iTunes from the second night of the live round. Voting for Tuesday’s show ended at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Caroline’s studio version of “We’re Going to Be Friends” — a great match of singer and song — led the way at number 14 on iTunes overall chart and number eight on the pop chart.
Jacquie Lee’s “I Put a Spell on You” was the night’s magic moment. That song checks in at number 20 on the overall chart and number 11 on the pop chart.
Matthew Schuler? Oh, yeah, the guy from West Chester University certainly isn’t far behind, landing at 22 on the overall chart and 12 on the pop chart.
After that there’s a big gap on the iTunes chart in terms of Tuesday’s songs from the show. Though the gap is interrupted by several songs from Monday’s show.
Speaking of which, here’s great news for fans of Lancaster’s James Wolpert.
His version of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You” is doing even better today than it was at 11 a.m. Tuesday when voting for Monday’s show ended.
It is now sitting at number four overall on iTunes — that’s right, better than any of last night’s performances — and number two on the pop chart.
Here’s the rundown of where all the songs from last night fell. For a look at the iTunes results from Monday’s night’s show, head here.
