Carrie and Brad kick off the CMAs on GMA (photo album)

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley performed on Good Morning America Tuesday as a kickoff to Wednesday night’s County Music Association Awards show (8 p.m., ABC), where they will serve as co-hosts.

Carrie is up for two awards: top female vocalist and musical event of the year for her “I Told You So” duet with Randy Travis.

Also in the running for top female vocalist honors are Taylor Swift (the favorite), Miranda Lambert (gets my vote), Martina McBride and Reba McEntire.
Carrie will also be performing, and she won’t be the only Idol on hand. Kellie Pickler will be presenting an award, and Chris Daughtry will be performing a duet with Vince Gill.

You can find a complete rundown on all the nominees, performers and presenters here.Check back tomorrow night. I’ll be blogging live and posting photos during the show.

Meanwhile, here are The Associated Press photos from this morning’s performance.
