Carrie Underwood has released the official video for her new single, “Blown Away.”

I’ll say this, it does a much better job of capturing the song than all those wind machines Carrie took along with her when she performed “Blown Away” on Idol and a music awards show earlier this year.

It’s one of the darker songs on Carrie’s album by the same name, darker than the music we’ve come to expect from her.

And she plays the role of a daughter abused by her alcoholic father in the video.

It’s also clearly one of the best tracks from her new album, which has already produced one number one country hit in “Good Girl.”

“Blown Away” jumped four spots on Billboard’s country singles chart this week, moving up to 24.

The song is number 72 on Billboard’s Hot 100. That’s a 17-spot jump from last week.
