Carrie Underwood has announced a new single, and its release is right around the proverbial corner.
“Good Girl,” the lead single from her fourth album, will be released to country radio on Feb. 23, according to a post on Carrie’s website this morning.
Carrie, looking lovely in black, announced the single in a video message to fans.
“I love this song. I think it’s awesome,” she said. “I think it’s going to blow you guys away.”
Carrie describes the song as fun and upbeat, something you can stomp your feet to and dance to.
But is it just me, or does Carrie look like anything but a good girl in that cover art?
Anyway, the song was written by Carrie, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley. According to the announcement on Carrie’s website, Gorley also co-wrote two of Carrie’s number-one country singles, “All-American Girl” and “Don’t Forget to Remember Me.”
As for the album, it will be produced by Mark Bright, who has a heck of a track record for success when teamed with Carrie. And it’s supposed to be released sometime this spring.
