Carrie Underwood will have a new single out tonight.
More good news: A new album — “Storyteller” — will quickly follow.
It’s to be released Oct. 23.
The new song is called “Smoke Break” and was written by the same team that brought us the hit single “Little Toy Guns.” The songwriters include Carrie, Hillary Lindsey and Chris DeStefano.
Here’s what Carrie had to say about the song in a video she posted to Facebook.
“The song itself just kinda one of those story songs that I feel like everybody can relate to about how life is so hectic and it’s so nice when, if and when, you actually get to kinda step away for a second.
“We all need that time to ourselves and to get to take a break, and I really hope you guys love it because I’m so excited about it.”
Entertainment Tonight will debut the video that goes with the song on Monday.
