Carrie Underwood, Camila Cabello among AMA victors

Carrie Underwood snagged a pair of awards and Camila Cabello was also among the winners at the American Music Awards Sunday night.

Carrie won favorite female artist over Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini, the other nominees.

Her “Cry Pretty” was named favorite country album. Kane Brown, “Experiment” by Kane Brown and Dan + Shay’s self-titled album were the other nominees in that category.

Camila Cabello’s victory came for “Senorita,” her hit duet with Shawn Mendes. Camila and Shawn beat out “Shallow” (Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper), “Old Town Road” (Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, “Happier” (Marshmello & Bastille) and “Sunflower” (Post Malone and Swae Lee) for the year’s top collaboration.

The only nominated singing show star who didn’t win was Blake Shelton. His single “God’s Country” was nominated for country song of the year. The honor went to “Speechless” by Dan + Shay.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift took home the night’s biggest award, Artist of the Year, as well as a host of others, including album of the year.

And Billie Eilish won her first two AMAs ever, as favorite alternative artist and new artist of the year.
