Fans fortunate enough to have tickets to Carrie Underwood’s Thursday night concert at the Sovereign Center in Reading should be in for a treat.Thursday marks the first show on Carrie’s “Play On” tour. And she promises that this tour will be bigger and better than those in the past.
At one point, she even gets to fly out over the audience.
“As far as things getting bigger, it’s just that — the stage is bigger, there are more lights, there’s more tricks up our sleeve,” Carrie told the Associated Press in a story that just moved this morning. “We have a lot of moving parts on the stage … My band’s great, wardrobe’s great. It’s just more. It’s all of the bells and whistles and sprinkles on the cupcake.”
Carrie also talks about her upcoming wedding to hockey star Mike Fisher in the interview. Gotta say, I like her attitude toward weddings.
You can check out the story here.
Meanwhile, I just checked, and it appears tickets are still available for Thursday’s show.
I won’t be in attendance. There’s a little matter of a live results show on American Idol that night.
But I’ll post links to any coverage of photos I can find from the show Friday morning.
So check back then for an update on one of the most successful American Idols.
