The Season 4 winner of American Idol performed a medley as the New Year approached.

It included “Smoke Break” and “Heartbeat,” the first two singles from her “Storyteller” album.

She also performed one of her all-time biggest hits, “Before He Cheats.”

Before she performed, Carrie chatted with old friend Ryan Seacrest, who asked how Carrie typically spent New Year’s Eve.

She shared the story of how her first date — and first kiss — with husband Mike Fisher was on New Year’s Eve. You can hear about that in the video above.
