Carrie was nominated in two categories this year: best country vocal performance for her single “Something in the Water” and for best country duo/group performance for her “Something Bad” duet with Miranda Lambert.

She wound up winning the former over Eric Church of “Give Me Back My Hometown,” Hunter Hayes for “Invisible,” Miranda Lambert for “Automatic” and Keith Urban for “Cop Car.”

The Grammy for best country duo or group performance went to The Band Perry for their cover of “Gentle on My Mind.”

The other Idol nominee Sunday night was Jennifer Hudson for best R&B performance for her single “It’s Your World.” That Grammy went to Beyonce for “Drunk in Love.”

Carrie’s win means a former American Idol contestant has taken home a Grammy in nine of the last 10 years. Here’s are the other wins in a list dominated by Carrie and Kelly Clarkson.
