Both of the most successful American Idols ever will be performing at the ACM Awards next month.
In an announcement that hardly came as a shock, the ACM Awards folks added Carrie Underwood to the list of scheduled performers at the April 7 show (8 p.m., CBS).
After all, Carrie has won the ACM Entertainer of the Year honor twice, has 10 ACM awards to her credit and has been nominated as female vocalist of the year eight straight years.
She’s up for that honor again at the 2013 show, along with Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift.
Her “Blown Away” album is nominated for album of the year along with “Chief” by Eric Church, “Red” by Taylor Swift, “Tailgates and Tanlines” by Luke Bryan, and “Tornado” by Little Big Town.
Also added to the list of performers Monday were Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and reigning Entertainer of the Year Taylor Swift.
Judging from the ACM website, more announcements are coming. The first batch of announced performers included Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry and the show’s co-hosts, Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan.
