Carrie Underwood to serve as CMA host again, with new partners

0

Carrie Underwood will be back to host the CMA Awards in 2019.

But her longtime partner, Brad Paisley, will be absent.

The County Music Association recently announced plans for its annual awards show, set for Nov. 13 and to be aired on ABC.

Sure enough, former American Idol champ Carrie Underwood will host again, a role she’s filled since 2008.

But Paisley, her co-host since that show, isn’t coming back.

Instead, Carrie will get assistance from country music legend Dolly Parton and Rebe McEntire, who recently hosted the 2019 ACM Awards.

Expecting sour grapes from Paisley? You’ll be disappointed.

“As a fan of all 3 of these amazing women, I can’t wait to watch,” he wrote on Twitter.

Nominees for the 2019 show have not yet been announced.

In 2018, former Idol judge Keith Urban took the night’s top honor, Entertainer of the Year.
