Carrie Underwood is heading out on tour to support her “Play On” album.

So far, 45 shows are planned between March 1 and May 30, and 27 of those concerts are listed on Ticketmaster.

The closest appearance listed so far is the Wachovia Center in Wilkes-Barre, about two hours from York. That concert is set for Monday, March 29. Tickets for that show will run between $35 and $55. Go here for more information.

Other shows in this general vicinity include Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., on Friday, March 19, and the Peteson Events Center in Pittsburgh on Thursday, April 1.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday. Pre-sale tickets for the Wilkes-Barre show go on sale Tuesday.

Since tickets go on sale so soon, I’d expect the remainder of the 45 dates to be announced very soon, so keep watching for updates.

According to Carrie’s Web site, Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia will be accompanying her on tour.

Sons of Sylvia, of course, is featured on “What Can I Say,” one of the best tracks on Carrie’s new album, which is currently number six on the Billboard 200.
