Casey Weston from Season 1 of The Voice just released a new single and is planning an album in 2015.

We’ve met lots of talented country singer-songwriters during seven seasons of The Voice.

One of the first was Casey Weston, who came within a whisker of making the finals back in Season 1 as a member of Team Adam Levine.

Casey celebrated her 22nd birthday this week (Dec. 4) by releasing a new single, “Fallin’ for a Lie.”

It’s the lead single off an album she plans to release next year called “Young Heart.”

“Who hasn’t fallen for a lie,” she writes on her website. “For that matter who hasn’t known it and gone along with it anyway? That and the little rebel in me who sometimes wants to be the one to call the shots were some of the thoughts I had swirling around in my head when my friend Kacey Renée and I wrote the song ‘Fallin’ for a Lie’ together earlier this year.”

You can check out the song and several other Casey Weston tunes in the widget below.

Several of them are from her 2013 album “Find the Moon.” Make sure to check out “Back to the Start” and “Heart Don’t Fail Me Now.”

Casey also released a self-titled album in 2009 before appearing on The Voice.

Happy birthday, Casey!
